Senior Software Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Backend): Develop and lead the hirify.global Data Integration (RDI) streaming pipeline that mirrors data from relational and non-relational databases to hirify.global Enterprise with an accent on building scalable, complex software systems and real-time data transformation. Focus on designing and implementing enterprise-grade, customer-facing products, infrastructure deployment, and mentoring team members.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the hirify.global Data Integration (RDI) data streaming pipeline.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, complex software systems.
• Integrate legacy databases with hirify.global Enterprise in near real-time.
• Deploy and monitor systems on Linux-based on-premise and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Mentor and lead less senior engineers, prioritizing team goals.
• Collaborate with customers and product managers to deliver enterprise solutions.

Requirements

• Must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Python, and/or Go.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Proven leadership in building enterprise and customer-facing products.
• Strong team player and mentor with accountability and ownership.
• Location: Remote work from Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Change-Data-Capture and Debezium.
• Experience with Docker and Kafka/Kafka Connect.
• Technical lead experience and customer-facing collaboration.
