What you will do

• Devise and implement solutions for data systems, tooling, and engineering problems.
• Build, operate, and maintain data platform components, including Airflow orchestration, data catalog, and interactive data science notebooks.
• Develop and enhance Python services, frameworks, and developer tooling to improve reliability and productivity.
• Design and maintain reusable Python libraries and frameworks, ensuring consistency and ease of integration.
• Drive improvements in developer workflows, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand pain points and design workflow-enhancing solutions.

Requirements

• Expertise in Python, including application design patterns, frameworks, TDD, and API design.
• Proven experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience worhirify.global with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Experience building internal tools, SDKs, or reusable libraries for developer productivity.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open source projects.
• SQL and data modelling experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Airflow components and DAG development.
• Familiarity with BigQuery or similar cloud DWH platforms.
• Experience with GCP services like Cloud Run, Datastore, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Understanding of data science workflows.
