Cloud Security Engineer

TL;DR

Cloud Security Engineer: Design and build solutions to identify and remedy compliance and security failures in a cloud environment with an accent on policy as code, secure patterns, and incident response. Location: Hybrid, Barcelona, Spain (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

What you will do

• Design and build internal solutions to identify and remedy compliance and security failures.
• Develop policy as code, templates, and modules to implement and enforce secure patterns and guidance.
• Respond to alerts and participate in the overall incident response and on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consult on operational security improvements.
• Respond to detected incidents in the cloud environment and ensure cloud security pipelines and infrastructure are operational.
• Help create security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for engineers.

Requirements

• Operational experience with AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Golang.
• Operational experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security platforms and tools (e.g., AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Inspector).
• Excellent written and communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proven team player, collaborating effectively with others.

Nice to have

• Operational experience securing Kubernetes.
• CISSP-ISSAP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or similar certifications.
• Knowledge of GDPR security and privacy requirements.
• Knowledge of basic security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
