Lead Software Engineer (Java, Financial Services)

TL;DR
Lead Fullstack Developer (Fintech): Building and optimizing scalable applications leveraging latest technologies for trading and financial markets with an accent on API design, database performance, and UI development. Focus on full-stack development across all tiers of business-facing systems and establishing/leading a new engineering team in Warsaw.
Location: Onsite in Warsaw, Poland

What you will do
- Establish and lead a new Warsaw-based engineering team for KYC capabilities.
- Build and nurture team talent, including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, and coaching.
- Partner globally with engineering peers to co-develop shared services and uphold standards.
- Develop and implement scalable applications for trading and financial markets.
- Undertake full-stack development across all tiers of business-facing systems.
Requirements
- Experience leading an engineering team.
- 8+ years of object-oriented design and development experience, with 5+ years in Java.
- Experience with test-driven development and agile methodologies.
- Experience with requirement gathering and providing production support.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Must be able to work onsite in Warsaw, Poland.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time systems/messaging infrastructures.
- Full stack development experience.
- Familiarity with build/deployment/runtime tools (Gradle, Maven, Git, Spring, Kubernetes, Cloud).
- Finance, Securities Lending and Equities knowledge.
- Familiarity with building and running resilient and scalable systems.
