TL;DR

Principal Fullstack Engineer: Developing and deploying containerized Java components and microservices in cloud environments with an accent on scalable infrastructure, automated testing, and performance optimization. Focus on building secure, high-traffic distributed systems, tuning database performance, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid with onsite presence every other week in a Fidelity office in the United States

What you will do

  • Create, deploy, and deliver software applications and systems to market.
  • Design and develop software platforms, applications, and diagnostics using Java and cloud technologies.
  • Implement microservices architecture and build scalable, maintainable infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with analysts and developers to design systems and define project requirements.
  • Develop and oversee software testing, validation, and QA readiness.
  • Mentor junior team members and advise senior management on technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience as a Principal Fullstack Engineer or related role.
  • Proven expertise in Java development, containerization, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model with onsite presence every other week in the US.
  • English proficiency at least B2 level.
