What you will do

• Architect scalable systems for managing software releases across a large camera fleet
• Build observability infrastructure including dashboards and metrics systems
• Lead safe release operations ensuring reliability and minimizing risk
• Develop data pipelines and analytical tools to monitor release health
• Establish release procedures and accountability standards
• Create automated safeguards and respond to critical incidents

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week in San Mateo, CA
• BS/MS in Computer Science or similar degree with 5+ years in distributed software engineering
• Deep Linux expertise including internals and system-level debugging
• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C and Go
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus and building data pipelines
• Proven crisis management skills and ownership mentality

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux kernel technologies
• Background in cloud infrastructure
• Passion for site reliability engineering principles
