Database Reliability Engineer (SQL & Cloud Platforms): Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms with an accent on monitoring, optimization, and automation. Focus on troubleshooting, implementing data reliability strategies, and collaborating with engineering and data teams.

Location: Hybrid (Cork, Ireland)

What you will do

Monitor and optimize database performance across SQL Server and cloud platforms.
Troubleshoot performance issues impacting engineering and data teams.
Support hybrid environments and implement data reliability strategies.
Automate database operations and deployment pipelines.
Manage data replication and migrations across environments.
Provide technical support and documentation for database platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
Experience with GCP BigQuery and Azure.
Familiarity with data lakes and modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
Knowledge of monitoring tools for database reliability.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
