Software Engineer (Media)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (C++/GoLang): Design and implement new features, writing secure, production-ready code for tooling and workflows that reduce the burden of complexity for Broadcast Engineers with an accent on understanding video, audio, networking technology, and control systems used across the media industry. Focus on troubleshooting, profiling code for bugs or performance issues, and collaborating with product owners and users to refine user stories.

What you will do

• Design and implement new features for broadcast hardware and software.
• Write secure, production-ready code primarily in C++ and GoLang.
• Write tests for new and existing code and contribute to CI workflow.
• Troubleshoot and profile code for bugs or performance issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Users to help refine user stories.
• Provide documentation to users and commissioning teams.

Requirements

• Multiple years of software development experience in C / C++.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with new codebases and frameworks.
• Broad understanding of coding and programming languages.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, SDP, RTP) and broadcast standards (NMOS, ST2022, ST2110).
• Experience in Realtime video, audio processing, and control systems.
• Must have the right to live and work in Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience in Database, Data modeling, and microservices architectures advantageous.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Containerization advantageous.
