What you will do

• Build and deploy Android app features from concept to production within autonomous cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and UX teams to ensure compliant and high-quality mobile applications.
• Lead and mentor Android developers, participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Define mobile engineering standards, best practices, and tooling in partnership with platform squads.
• Advocate for mobile-first mindset and adoption of innovative mobile experiences.
• Support continuous learning and upskilling within squads to maintain deep mobile expertise.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work model requiring onsite presence every other week in a Fidelity office in the United States.
• 6+ years professional experience developing Android apps using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience releasing publicly available apps to Google Play Store with automated CI/CD tooling.
• Proven leadership in Android development teams including mentoring and architectural design.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, functional programming, and reactive patterns.
• Good understanding of testing frameworks, accessibility features, and dependency management.
