What you will do

• Bridge product management and engineering to discover, prototype, and validate AI capabilities for DEM.
• Conduct applied research on scalable data processing, algorithms, and architectures for large-scale telemetry data.
• Build preprocessing pipelines for telemetry data and apply LLMs/generative AI to extract user insights.
• Rapidly prototype AI features such as incident summaries and anomaly detection, and define success metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering and stakeholders to operationalize AI algorithms and drive roadmap inclusion.
• Ensure privacy, security, and responsible AI practices while monitoring production impact.

Requirements

• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Linz, Barcelona, or Vienna (Europe)
• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, AI, or related field with research experience.
• Strong software engineering skills, ideally in Java, and experience with ML frameworks and data analytics systems.
• Expertise in performance optimization, algorithms, streaming/batch data processing, and LLM/RAG technologies.
• Familiarity with observability signals (RUM, logs, traces, metrics) and anomaly detection techniques.
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) required
