AI Engineering Director (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and grow strategic enterprise accounts, particularly across Specialty Chemicals.
• Support presales, upselling, account expansion, and new business development.
• Own complex, multi-stream AI and data programs from delivery through measurable business impact.
• Advise senior stakeholders, including C-level, R&D, Digital, and Innovation leaders.
• Guide delivery of applied machine learning, GenAI, LLM applications, AI agents, MLOps, deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and production AI workflows.
• Mentor consultants and engineers and contribute to hiring, thought leadership, and the evolution of the Specialty Chemicals strategy.

Requirements

• Academic background in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading end-to-end AI or data transformation programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep technical expertise in AI engineering, including applied machine learning, GenAI, LLM applications, AI agents, MLOps, model deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and production workflows.
• Experience delivering large-scale technical programs in consulting or client-facing environments and working with senior stakeholders.
• Track record in commercial growth, presales, upselling, account expansion, or new business development.
• Leadership experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing AI, data science, or engineering teams; fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in Life Sciences and/or Specialty Chemicals.
• French or German language skills.
