What you will do

• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs using Laravel and PHP best practices.
• Scale microservices architecture powering internal tools and public APIs.
• Implement secure authentication flows including OAuth2, SSO, and Laravel Sanctum.
• Work on data scraping, ingestion, and processing pipelines from various sources.
• Participate in DevOps and deployment workflows using Docker, GitLab CI/CD, AWS, and Terraform.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Must be a UK resident for fully remote work.
• 5+ years of backend PHP development experience, ideally with Laravel.
• Strong knowledge of API development, secure coding, and scalable systems.
• Experience with containerized environments, cloud platforms (AWS), and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, and large-scale data processing.
• Unit testing experience with PHPUnit and test-driven development mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Java, or Golang.
• Interest or experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or threat intelligence.
