What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise backend applications solving complex business problems
• Architect scalable, modular solutions and select appropriate technologies
• Maintain and optimize system performance, reliability, and operational excellence
• Advocate engineering best practices including testing and code quality
• Mentor and coach peers and junior developers
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align technical and business goals

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Seattle, Washington, United States
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years (Master’s) or 12+ years (Bachelor’s) of software development experience
• Proficient in backend technologies including Java, Kotlin, GraphQL/RESTful APIs
• Experience building scalable systems on cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) with CI/CD
• Strong software design, algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring engineers and defining engineering best practices
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Cypress
• Experience working in decentralized teams and presenting architectural decisions
