Software Engineer (JVM)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (JVM): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for an experimentation platform with an accent on API design, database performance, and scalability. Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. You must live in a state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity.

Salary: $191,000–$225,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and extend the capabilities of experimentation, feature flagging, and targeting clients.
• Develop systems for safely rolling out features and experiments through incremental rollouts and real-time feedback mechanisms.
• Partner with teams across the company to improve the impact of experimentation.
• Participate in all phases of software development, from architecture and design through implementation, testing, and on-call.
• Work closely with Data Science partners to implement sophisticated statistical methodology into the platform.
• Participate in experiment reviews to understand customer usage and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a hands-on software engineering role, shipping high-quality code to production.
• Experience building services on the JVM used by other developers.
• Experience with at least one modern, general programming language, especially a JVM language.
• A deep understanding of OOP and API design patterns.
• Experience working closely with other engineering teams across complex interfaces.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of leading projects across teams.

• Experience with web and/or mobile clients.
• Experience with experimentation platforms.
