What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services supporting multi-GDS integrations and various travel content APIs.
• Architect end-to-end booking, ticketing, and order flows ensuring accuracy and fault tolerance.
• Own backend features through full lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Improve system reliability and operational readiness, mentor teammates through design reviews and architecture guidance.
• Collaborate with product and commercial stakeholders to understand problems and propose solutions.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work with presence at Concord Office, United States
• 10+ years backend engineering experience in Java or similar platforms.
• Deep knowledge of distributed transactions, retries, saga patterns, and travel industry integrations (GDS, NDC).
• 6+ years experience with databases and web application development.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex systems into clean architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and JVM performance optimization.
• Knowledge of corporate travel policies, mid-office QC flows, and back-office settlement needs.
