What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable, resilient, and reliable high-performance systems.
• Create impactful customer-facing features across the stack, including APIs and UIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor peers to foster a culture of growth and ownership.
• Take accountability from design to delivery and contribute to scaling the platform.
• Re-architect core systems to increase platform capabilities by 10x, balancing speed, accuracy, and scale.
• Engage with innovative customers, especially in AI, to shape future billing solutions.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of engineering experience building high-scale or high-throughput systems.
• Strong craftsmanship in code with ability to debug and refactor complex systems.
• Deep customer empathy to translate needs into intuitive solutions.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.
• Location flexibility: remote with presence in New York City or San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience with Typescript, Python, Rust, React, GraphQL, Terraform, Serverless Framework, and AWS CI/CD tools.
