Backend Developer

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (Node.js): Evolving the core architecture of hirify.global’s product and driving architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability. Focus on hands-on work in the codebase, platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery and mentoring other engineers through technical leadership.

Location: Prague or remote within the EU

What you will do

• Design, refactor, and evolve core platform components.
• Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability and stability.
• Own platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery.
• Improve build, deployment, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items.
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical leadership and clear communication.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript / Node.js.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing production systems.
• Experience with on‑prem and cloud deployments.
• Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done.
• Valid VISA to work in Czechia / EU.

Nice to have

• Experience in platform or enablement teams.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience.
• Interest in developer experience and internal tooling.
