Location: Remote with offices in Kraków, Katowice, Bydgoszcz, Bialystok, Wroclaw, Poland
Salary: 232000–348000 PLN

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of data platform engineers promoting collaboration and growth.
- Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems and lakehouse platforms using Spark, Delta Lake, and Iceberg.
- Oversee design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows.
- Ensure software engineering best practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Champion governance, observability, and compliance frameworks across data platforms.
Requirements
- Remote role with presence in Poland offices (Kraków, Katowice, Bydgoszcz, Bialystok, Wroclaw)
- Proven experience leading technical teams in data engineering or platform development
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
- Expertise in Delta Lake and/or Apache Iceberg for lakehouse architecture.
- Familiarity with dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with event-driven architectures and advanced analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of Java, Scala, or Rust.
- Exposure to service mesh and advanced orchestration patterns.
