Software Engineer (Frontend)

TL;DR

Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript): Building and optimizing the overall front-end experience for an intelligent workflow platform with an accent on robust, performant, and reliable component design and architecture. Focus on shaping the technical direction, evolving the design system, and owning features from inception to production.

Location: Fully remote from anywhere in EST. Those based in the Greater Boston area can make use of the hirify.global office space. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Salary: $200,000–$225,000

What you will do

• Build complete product features and develop tooling and libraries to enable other engineers to ship faster, higher quality software.
• Write and review high-quality, well-tested code to ensure a stable product and stress-free codebase.
• Identify and implement improvements in the codebase and team processes.
• Own the problems and software solutions from development to production and beyond, responding to customer feedback.
• Shape and evolve the design system, focusing on building high-quality components that are robust, performant, and reliable.
• Mentor other engineers and help prioritize the roadmap (at higher levels of this role).

Requirements

• Capable with a high-level programming language; comfortable building command-line programs based on JSON input (main languages are Ruby and TypeScript).
• Able to demonstrate the necessary skills (no specific degree or previous work experience required).
• Comfortable working across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed.
• Focused on solving important problems, utilizing simple, common tools like Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, and Docker.
