What you will do

• Individually help deploy production use cases with considerable business impact across various industries.
• Work on state-of-the-art GenAI applications, driving crucial technological transformation with customers.
• Collaborate with researchers, other AI engineers, and product engineers on complex customer projects involving fine-tuning, state-of-the-art LLM applications, and contributing to open-source codebases.
• Be involved in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and provide technical guidance on Mistral products.
• Collaborate with product and science teams to continuously improve product and model capabilities based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• English: Fluent
• Hold a PhD / Master in AI / data science or be self-made.
• 7-10+ years as a technical individual contributor (data scientist or software engineer) on AI-based products.
• Experience in Fine Tuning LLMs, tackling advanced RAG or agentic use cases.
• Deep understanding of concepts and algorithms underlying machine learning and LLMs.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and how to deploy AI-based products.
• Deployed or built products with large scale user base.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Contributed to open-source projects, particularly in the space of LLMs.
• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff Engineer Machine Learning Engineer, or Staff Data Scientist.
