What you will do
- Define and own the architecture for the on-board safety of the humanoid robot.
- Drive architecture implementation across mechanical, electrical, AI, firmware, and software teams.
- Develop and lead validation and failure analysis using analytics, simulation, and real-world testing.
- Ensure the robot maintains safety around living things and operates safely in environments without external safety systems.
- Measure progress towards comprehensive safety solutions.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in San Jose, CA, United States
- English: B2 level or higher
- 10+ years experience delivering complex technical features for robotics/autonomous systems.
- Strong understanding of fault tolerance and behavioral responses.
- Experience with C++, Python, and Linux-based embedded systems.
- Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Controls engineering.
