Backend Developer (Go)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Go backend services for key platform components.
• Architect and evolve microservices-based systems for large-scale, high-performance operations.
• Optimize SQL and NoSQL database structures and queries for efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and fault tolerance across distributed services.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, observability, automation, testing, and proactive monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams; conduct code reviews and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience with Go.
• Experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience, including query optimization.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation; experience with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go frameworks such as Gin, Echo, or Fiber.
• Familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Background in distributed systems, caching layers, or message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with gaming, fintech, or digital asset platforms.
