What you will do

• Lead technical design and architecture of telecom payloads including RF and optical components.
• Manage payload parameters such as mass, consumption, and performance budgets.
• Coordinate with satellite subsystem teams and suppliers for design and manufacturing.
• Define specifications, SoWs, and oversee implementation through project lifecycle.
• Develop test specifications and procedures, and support integration and testing activities.
• Document subsystem architecture and analyses.

Requirements

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Helsinki, Finland or have right to work in UK with frequent travel to Helsinki
• 5-10 years experience in GEO communications satellite payload architecture and design.
• Expertise in RF equipment design and digital processors for satellites.
• Strong skills in system modelling, antenna simulation, and data analysis.
• Master or PhD in relevant technical field.
• Fluent written and spoken English (C2 level).

Nice to have

• Experience with ground segment systems.
• Knowledge of full space mission lifecycle and software-defined satellite architectures.
