TL;DR

Design Verification Engineer: Participate in all aspects of digital verification for complete mixed-signal IC developments, work on complex verification systems and contribute towards improvements in verification methodology. Focus on defining IC verification plans, creating reliable testbenches, and debugging complex RTL and gate-level designs.

Location: Hybrid (2+ days in-office in Edinburgh or Newbury, UK). Must be based within commutable distance or willing to relocate to the UK.

What you will do

  • Define IC verification plans linking product requirements to detailed testcases.
  • Lead teams of verification engineers to deliver thoroughly verified ICs.
  • Create reliable and reusable testbenches for complex subsystems and ICs.
  • Participate in verification specialist groups and contribute to methodology discussions.
  • Support and coach the verification team on methodology practices.
  • Engage hands-on in project design and verification.

Requirements

  • BEng / BSc / MEng / MSc Degree or equivalent in Electronics/Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Proven track record in delivering first-time success with complex mixed-signal ICs.
  • Experience with metric-driven verification, planning, requirements extraction, and constrained random verification.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, including SVA.
  • Experience with testbench design using verification frameworks like UVM/OVM/VMM.
  • Strong debugging skills for RTL, testbenches, OOP, and gate-level (including SDF).
  • English: B2 required.
  • Work authorization for the UK is required, as no export license sponsorship is provided.

Nice to have

  • Formal verification and verification qualification techniques.
  • Scripting experience (Ruby, sh/csh, TCL, Make, Perl).
  • Power-aware verification (CPF/UPF).
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design patterns.
