What you will do
- Oversee architecture, reliability, and security of enterprise networks (cloud and on-premises) from design to deployment.
- Design and implement scalable network solutions including LAN/WAN and cloud VPCs for high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with security teams to apply network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection.
- Mentor and guide a team of network engineers, establishing best practices and fostering growth.
- Monitor network performance and lead troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies and tools to improve efficiency and capabilities.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Sofia, Bulgaria for onsite work
- 8+ years experience in network engineering and architecture including leadership roles.
- Expert knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF).
- Proven experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid connectivity.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices and technologies.
- Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Python, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Juniper Networks Security certifications (JNCIA SEC, JNCIS SEC, JNCIP SEC, JNCIE SEC).
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE or cloud networking certifications.
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization.
