What you will do

• Drive, create, and maintain core AI systems for Special Projects.
• Experiment with game design and use rapid prototyping.
• Prototype and iterate on features, writing robust, maintainable code.
• Work closely with art, animation, and design teams.
• Collaborate with Fortnite and Unreal Engine teams to improve core AI systems.
• Optimize code and fix bugs in existing gameplay systems.

Requirements

• Experience developing games professionally with Unreal Engine, including shipping AAA titles with gameplay AI.
• Experience with gameplay AI systems (e.g., Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines).
• Strong C++ skills to design and build gameplay AI systems and tools.
• Ability to dive into complex systems and existing code bases.
• Well-versed in games and their design, especially online games.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
