What you will do

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and scripts for data validation, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and other tools to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for data testing using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and automate data quality rules.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing of data-related functionalities including reporting and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and communicate test results effectively.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India or able to work hybrid from this location
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years in software quality assurance focused on data testing.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in banking or financial services domain is highly preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or AWS Redshift.
  • Experience with performance testing of data pipelines and databases.
