What you will do

• Lead and manage the Product & Business Analytics team, setting priorities and coaching engineers.
• Own data collection and design event schemas and data contracts across underwriting and claims platforms.
• Design and optimize Databricks pipelines with strong governance, lineage, and security.
• Define SLOs and build data tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with agile squads and align with enterprise data governance and compliance standards.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data engineering practices.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Rotterdam, Netherlands
• English: Sufficient proficiency to communicate effectively in a global team (B2+)
• 8+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in Databricks, Tableau, Python, SQL, and data modeling for analytics.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, GDPR, and CI/CD for data pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance domains, especially underwriting and claims automation.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted data extraction and integration with enterprise master data systems.
• Exposure to FinOps practices for cloud cost optimization.
