Senior Software Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices for the Transportation Management Platform.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, UXR, and Data Scientists to deliver algorithmic solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build product experiences for supply and demand sides of the market.
• Utilize Uber’s foundational technologies and new tech from Compute, Platform, and Machine Learning teams.
• Lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Frisco, TX, United States
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem solving and coding skills in C#, Java, or Go.
• Experience with microservice architecture and scalable backend systems.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and databases like MySQL or Oracle.
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science or related field (BS, MS, or PhD).
• Experience shipping high-quality product features on schedule.
• Knowledge of logistics and freight industry.
• Experience with React.
