What you will do
- Evaluate SoC vendor development kits
- Develop update mechanisms for Android OS and applications
- Collaborate with vendors, hardware teams, and stakeholders to define UX platform requirements
- Bring up Android on new hardware
- Provide technical support for teams working on Android devices
Requirements
- Location: Hybrid role in Mountain View or San Francisco, California, United States
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience with low-level Android/AOSP platform development
- Experience with git, repo, and gerrit
Nice to have
- Experience bringing up Android on new hardware or customizing Android builds
- Knowledge of Android security, SELinux, and key provisioning
