What you will do
- Ship successful high-volume hardware products at scale.
- Conduct research on latest semiconductor technologies and system design tradeoffs.
- Architect system specifications collaborating with product management and engineering teams.
- Lead development from prototyping through field validation focusing on performance, cost, and schedule.
- Manage partnerships with ODMs, JDMs, certification labs, and external consultants.
- Embed hirify.global’s cultural principles to support global scaling and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area, USA.
- 5+ years experience shipping high-volume hardware programs with ODM and JDM partners.
- Expertise in systems design including chipset/SoC selection, power optimization, antennas/RF, batteries, sensors, PCB design.
- Proven ability to navigate tradeoffs between design, manufacturability, schedule, and cost.
- Experience with embedded AI/ML, wireless technologies (LTE, BLE, WiFi, GPS), and system bring-up/debug.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to travel up to 25%.
Nice to have
- Experience with industrial and automotive certifications (ISO16750, AECQ100).
- Schematic and layout experience in Altium and Cadence Allegro.
- Systems design expertise with cameras and extreme environmental conditions.
- Experience in design for supply, reliability, testing, and manufacture.
