Threat Intelligence Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, with available locations in Austin, US, or London, UK. An in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub may be required at the offer stage.

What you will do

• Design, build, run, and scale distributed tools and services supporting cyber threat disruption and platform abuse.
• Develop data pipelines and services that collect, analyze, and expose threat intelligence data, including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures and Indicators of Compromise.
• Own the software development lifecycle from system design and architecture through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Translate complex security, legal, and operational requirements into scalable compliance and security applications.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Trust & Safety, Legal, Product, and engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and mentor developers on tested, modular, and reusable code.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building large-scale software applications, preferably distributed systems.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Threat Intelligence or supporting a Threat Intelligence platform.
• Production experience with Go and/or TypeScript, plus knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and software testing skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Austin, US, or London, UK.

Nice to have

• AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflow experience.
• Familiarity with Rust, Kafka, Kubernetes, Redis, React, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP, and web security standards.
• Experience mentoring technical teammates.
