What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, Backend, Infrastructure, QA, and Product Managers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, deploy, and maintain microservices in cloud-native Kubernetes environments.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, security, and data consistency.
• Promote engineering best practices including clean code, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor team members and lead engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Relocation to Cyprus is required.
• English proficiency: high written and spoken skills for international collaboration.
• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with REST, gRPC, messaging systems, and CI/CD practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech domain including payment processing and compliance.
• Knowledge of Kafka and stream processing.
• Understanding of modern app design principles like The Twelve-Factor App methodology.
