What you will do

• Enhance and expand the existing Linux workplace on Ubuntu to meet evolving user and company needs.
• Design, develop, and configure new features for Linux Client instances addressing business or IT security requirements.
• Ensure function, stability, and reliability of the Linux Workplace on various hardware and virtual machines.
• Provide 2nd level Linux support leveraging IT service management processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug integration issues with company infrastructure.
• Maintain Linux Workplace-specific infrastructure servers and software repositories.

Requirements

• Linux passion and mindset with strong command line skills.
• Proven expertise in packaging and administering GNU/Linux and Debian-based distributions, especially Ubuntu.
• Experience in software development and scripting with Bash, Python, and GNU utilities.
• Skilled in managing Linux software development processes and GIT-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Linux configuration management tools like Salt-Stack, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with desktop virtualization and Linux container runtimes such as VMWare, VirtualBox, Hyper-V, WSL2, Docker, and Podman.
• Excellent analytical skills for debugging and error analysis under Linux.
• Proven skills in IT service management focused on high-quality support.
