What you will do

• Create character-specific animations directly in Unreal Engine using in-house rigs and tools for Fortnite Events
• Work closely with a mentor to improve animation skills and build a strong work ethic
• Collaborate with other artists and designers to create assets conforming to Fortnite's visual design and style
• Help develop new features and processes within the animation team
• Consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining artistic integrity

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in Montreal, Canada for the duration of the internship
• Animation reel showing exceptional key-framed character and creature animations including facial animation
• Proficiency with animation software such as Blender, Maya, Unreal, or similar
• Experience creating realistic and stylized motions
• Proactive collaboration with teammates to solve creative and technical challenges

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine animation and sequencer
• Experience creating narrative animations and mocap cleanup
