What you will do

• Manage and mentor an engineering team to maintain high-quality practices and collaboration.
• Contribute hands-on across all product lifecycle phases including implementation.
• Lead technical design, development, and operation of scalable services.
• Break down large projects into manageable tasks and implement engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot live service issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Tencent teams to align service delivery and operations in China.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Sydney, Australia
• Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and English
• 2+ years leading software delivery teams as Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in service development using C#, Java, Golang, or similar.
• Experience working in agile environments and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale, high-performance backend systems or game services.
• Experience with C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies.
• Experience delivering complex features in live games or products.
