Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote from anywhere in Canada

Base salary: $170,400–$234,300 CAD per year

What you will do

• Advise engineering teams on pragmatic technical approaches, actionable delivery plans, and software development best practices.
• Architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems for the platform roadmap.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Design, and senior engineers to solve cross-functional technical challenges.
• Consolidate technical debt and lead large-scale modernization efforts from planning through delivery.
• Analyze system bottlenecks and optimize web application performance across the full stack.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code and technical specification reviews, and contribute to critical customer-facing projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with strong user experiences.
• Experience with one or more full-stack technologies, preferably React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go.
• Extensive experience with test-driven development.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Design on high-impact end-to-end product experiences.
• Experience with relational databases, key-value stores, and full-stack performance analysis and optimization.
• Ability to unpack complex problems and simplify them effectively.
