What you will do

• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code to manage cloud resources across multiple environments.
• Design, build, and extend Backstage plugins and platform features for enterprise-scale adoption.
• Architect integrations between Backstage and existing CI/CD, observability, identity, and cloud platforms.
• Enhance developer experience by championing workflow automation and self-service capabilities within Backstage.
• Customize permissions, implement security and compliance requirements, and scale Backstage across teams and regions.
• Collaborate with engineering, SRE, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver enterprise-ready developer portal solutions.

Requirements

• English: Upper-intermediate to fluent (B2+) speaking and writing required.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on experience in software/platform engineering, Typescript/Javascript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
• Experience integrating Backstage with CI/CD, cloud, monitoring, and identity tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, and Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Pulumi.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Express framework, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Prior participation in Backstage open-source projects or community engagement.
• Experience implementing compliance/security controls in developer platforms.
• Background supporting multi-region/multi-cloud deployments.
