What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of data scientists, conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.
• Partner with stakeholders across Fraud, Compliance, Risk, and Onboarding to align data science strategy with business goals.
• Drive data analytics and data science projects from planning to execution, turning insights into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance data sets and pipelines.
• Build models and conduct analysis to address business challenges and improve processes.
• Develop and deploy self-service analytical tools for non-technical users.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or able to work onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands
• 3+ years in senior or leadership data science roles, preferably in compliance, risk, or fintech operations.
• Strong academic background in STEM or related fields.
• Expertise in SQL and Python (including Pandas, Numpy, TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience with BI platforms like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Excellent communication skills to simplify complex results for stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end and work cross-functionally in fast-paced regulated environments.
