TL;DR
Staff Research Engineer (AI): Working end to end to identify and address key blockers on the path to scientific AGI with an accent on performance optimization and distributed systems. Focus on developing scalable engineering solutions for complex reasoning challenges and long-horizon task completion.

Location: Hybrid (25% in-office)

What you will do

  • Identify and remove bottlenecks preventing progress toward scientific AGI
  • Develop approaches for long-horizon task completion and complex reasoning challenges
  • Scale research ideas from prototype to production
  • Create benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for model capabilities
  • Implement distributed training systems and performance optimizations

Requirements

  • 8+ years of ML research experience
  • Familiarity with large scale language model training and evaluation
  • Expertise in performance optimization and distributed computing systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify technical bottlenecks
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
