Software Engineer

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Contributing to all front-end, mobile and back-end sides of the hirify.global software with an accent on writing clean, functional, testable, and scalable code. Focus on designing, creating, and maintaining features, as well as fixing bugs and coding issues, while continuously learning to solve complex problems.

Location: Must be based in Spain and have a work permit to work in Spain

Salary: €‎38K – €‎49K based on your professional experience

What you will do

• Participate in discussions with the Product and Engineering teams to find the best technical solutions.
• Take ownership of problems, understanding user needs, conducting research, and making proposals.
• Communicate effectively within the team to maximize productivity and focus.
• Develop pixel-perfect designs and simple, clear, functioning, and testable code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software, and write technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
• Experience writing well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code and comfort working across the stack.
• Strong experience in frontend writing complex interactive UIs with React and backend development writing high traffic servers in Node.js.
• Excellent ability to communicate ideas, regardless of the audience.
• Pragmatic with technologies and product-oriented, focusing on the end user.
• Naturally curious and proactive, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
• Comfortable in spoken Spanish and written English.
• Based in Spain and have a work permit to work in Spain

Nice to have

• Experience working in startup/scaleup environments and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Redux for client-state management.
• Experience with Express.js and MongoDB.
• Experience with complex backend architectures such as Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
