Packaging Manager

Location: Sunnyvale, United States; hybrid work with teams in the office around 3 days a week.

Base salary: $49–$60 per hour.

What you will do

• Write and manage print specification documents and release approved packaging materials to suppliers.
• QC and organize mechanical assets including part numbers, die-lines, translations, illustrations, and copy.
• Manage project life cycles, part-number releases, asset handoffs, and routing to marketing communications teams.
• Review digital mechanicals, pre-press materials, printer proofs, supplier PDFs, and press sheets; provide feedback and sign off or escalate issues.
• Coordinate final reviews with Packaging Producers and communicate updates to project management teams.
• Document packaging best practices and standard operating procedures, and support press checks for domestic and international suppliers.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Graphic Communications or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of mechanical proofing experience in premium consumer packaging and labeling.
• Knowledge of electronic pre-press and printing processes.
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency in Mac OS and native applications.
