TL;DR

Android Developer (Kotlin/Java): Building enterprise Android applications for product search, checkout, payments, order processing, delivery, and account management with an accent on scalable architecture, responsive interfaces, backend integration, and reliability. Focus on implementing MVVM and modular design, asynchronous data processing, application security, automated testing, performance troubleshooting, and production releases.

Location: United States; travel and relocation required, with work performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States

What you will do

Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Android application solutions.
Design and develop enterprise Android applications with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and Material Design.
Implement maintainable MVVM, repository-based, dependency-injected, and modular application architecture.
Integrate applications with RESTful and GraphQL services and implement product search, cart, checkout, payments, orders, delivery, and account management features.
Build asynchronous processing, background tasks, and local data handling; integrate location, notifications, camera, deep links, analytics, and device permissions.
Write unit and UI tests, investigate defects and production incidents, resolve performance and security issues, conduct code reviews, and support CI/CD, builds, releases, and technical guidance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Five years of experience in a related occupation.
Experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and Material Design.
Knowledge of accessibility standards, MVVM, repository patterns, dependency injection, modular design, RESTful and GraphQL services.
Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, WorkManager, Room, SQLite, JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
Experience using Logcat, ADB, Firebase Crashlytics, analytics, and debugging tools to resolve application defects, crashes, performance bottlenecks, security issues, and production incidents.
Ability to collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams and provide technical guidance.
