Lead / Staff Fullstack (PHP+JS) - Fast Response Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Slovakia; remote from anywhere in Slovakia, hybrid, or office-based in Bratislava

Salary: from €5,000 per month plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Diagnose, prioritise, and resolve production issues and complex bugs across Gaming products.
• Investigate root causes, implement permanent fixes, and reduce recurring incidents and customer impact.
• Build and improve triage, incident management, monitoring, observability, alerting, documentation, and runbooks.
• Work across legacy systems, multiple repositories, third-party integrations, and vendor integrations.
• Make technical decisions, influence architecture and engineering standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership while contributing to the re-architecture of the publishing platform into a white-label, multi-tenant product using Domain-Driven Design.

Requirements

• Staff-level engineer or strong Senior engineer, assessed by technical decisions, project complexity, and hands-on capability rather than years of experience.
• Full-stack profile with the ability to code on both backend and frontend.
• Strong HTML and CSS skills; this is the only strict technology requirement, with otherwise technology-agnostic expectations.
• Architectural experience and the ability to make independent technical decisions and define technical direction.
• Experience with large-scale B2C or consumer-facing web applications.
• Experience debugging production systems, performing root-cause analysis, and resolving incidents across multiple services.
• Structured approach to incident management and continuous improvement.
• Ability to navigate legacy codebases and multiple repositories independently and balance speed with quality in a high-priority environment.
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency required for an international team.

Nice to have

• PHP with Laravel or Symfony and React or Vue.
• Operational engineering, platform support, or fast-response team experience.
• Monitoring, observability, and incident management tools.
• AWS or cloud-native infrastructure experience.
• iGaming or sports betting industry experience.
• Tailwind, Contentful, and vendor or third-party integration experience.
