Senior Software Developer with PHP

Location: Hybrid in Košice, Slovakia. Remote working is available only within Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.

Salary: Negotiable base salary from €3,100 gross per month, depending on seniority and previous experience, plus a variable part and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Lead development of front-end interfaces and back-end logic.
• Design and build front-end assistants, customer UIs, system overlays, and SOAP/REST interfaces.
• Develop automation solutions and application functionality in cooperation with the steering team and Product Owner.
• Analyze requirements and communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in research and development projects, code reviews, and quality checks.
• Deliver functional solutions across the software development lifecycle and share knowledge with less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in the IT industry, with advanced experience in programming and application design.
• Knowledge of PHP 8+ and object-oriented programming, Symfony or a similar framework, and PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, React, Docker, PHPUnit, and Vitest.
• Good understanding of SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI development principles.
• Experience migrating legacy applications to new codebases and PHP versions.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, including cron jobs and queues.
• Experience designing, modifying, and debugging CI/CD pipelines.
• Good skills integrating systems and applications, with good experience using Git and GitLab.
• Good understanding of cloud systems, DevOps concepts, and tooling.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level (B2); willingness to learn and teach new technologies, self-motivation, organization, and solid communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Puppeteer or Selenium.
• Knowledge of Python, C++, Golang, or Rust.
• German language skills.
