Quality Assurance Engineer (Java/API Automation)

Location: Remote in Austria, Germany, Spain, the UK, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, or Croatia

What you will do

• Continuously improve test infrastructure and maintain backend QA infrastructure using JUnit 5, Spring, and Kubernetes.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios with the product team.
• Perform automated and manual testing, including API, chaos, performance, regression, and release testing.
• Identify defects, report them to developers, support production deployments, and coordinate regression fixes.
• Collaborate with developers to define requirements from a testability perspective.
• Support CI/CD using GitLab, Maven, and Docker.

Requirements

• Profound knowledge of Java.
• Professional experience in quality assurance.
• Solid experience with automated and manual testing using JUnit 5.
• Experience with an API testing framework.
• Good written and spoken technical English is required.

Nice to have

• Ongoing or completed IT education at HTL, FH, or university level.
• Experience with Kubernetes or GitLab.
