Senior Data Analyst KYC Consultant (KYC)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; 50% on-site and 50% homeworking

What you will do

• Coordinate IT, Data Services, Compliance, KYC Operations, and Front Office stakeholders through documentation, workshops, and clear communication.
• Translate KYC requirements for onboarding, reviews, customer due diligence, and risk assessment into data solutions.
• Establish data governance, quality rules, access protocols, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and reconciliation controls.
• Investigate data discrepancies and analyze customer, risk, screening, and process data using SQL across source systems.
• Design data models, warehouses, datamarts, and pipelines linking KYC source systems, shared platforms, and reporting solutions.
• Build dashboards and KPIs for onboarding and review volumes, risk distribution, cycle times, waiting times, handovers, and process improvement, preferably with Power BI.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant Data Analytics experience, including 2–6 years of hands-on experience focused on KYC, customer due diligence, or financial crime prevention.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or another background supported by substantial analytics knowledge.
• Proficiency in SQL for extracting, joining, validating, and analyzing data, plus proficiency with PowerDesigner or an equivalent data modeling tool.
• Hands-on experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Tableau, BO, or SAS for KPI monitoring and business insights.
• Deep knowledge of banking and KYC data, including customer identification, legal entities, beneficial ownership, related parties, risk assessments, screening outcomes, onboarding, and review workflows.
• Experience capturing, documenting, and managing functional and non-functional data solution requirements.
• Knowledge of data security, IT architecture, financial services operations, and data quality frameworks.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders through structured documentation, workshops, and communication, with project management skills.
• Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Agile Central.
