Senior Data Scientist – AI & Supply Chain

Location: Barcelona, Spain; other locations: Madrid and Gijon. Flexible hybrid work model.

What you will do

• Apply AI, advanced analytics, and optimization techniques to solve complex supply chain challenges.
• Translate client business needs into AI-driven solutions and deliver measurable impact.
• Contribute to proposals, identify business opportunities, and shape innovative AI offerings.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business consultants to implement supply chain solutions.
• Work across supply chain planning, fulfillment and network optimization, manufacturing, predictive maintenance, production efficiency, and quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Data & AI or related fields; hiring is available at different experience levels.
• English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong expertise in AI, analytics, and optimization applied to supply chain challenges, with experience in multiple relevant areas.
• Programming experience with Python, R, and SQL.
• Knowledge of operations research and simulation, including LP, ILP, heuristics or meta-heuristics, discrete-event simulation, and digital twins.
• Experience with forecasting, predictive modeling, and optimization algorithms.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI-driven scenario generation, synthetic data modeling, or workflow automation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and related AI/ML services; familiarity with o9, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, or similar supply chain tools; and experience with large-scale data processing, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Problem-solving, critical thinking, business acumen, stakeholder management, communication, agility, and innovation skills.
