Sr Manager Data Scientist Supply Chain (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid role based in Madrid, Spain, with other locations available at any hirify.global site in Europe. Standard schedule with occasional meetings outside normal business hours due to international collaboration; up to 10% travel may be required.

What you will do

• Build, train, deploy, maintain, and improve AI/ML models and automation tools for supply chain master data.
• Design optimization algorithms and simulation models for supply planning, including safety stock, lot sizes, planning parameters, and business constraints.
• Develop predictive models, anomaly detection, clustering solutions, and end-to-end data pipelines for master data-driven decisions.
• Implement generative AI, NLP, large language model, chatbot, Q&A, intelligent agent, and RPA solutions for data management automation.
• Monitor model and system performance, establish self-healing mechanisms, and ensure reliable production deployment with Digital/IT teams.
• Lead phased AI enablement from foundational machine learning and RPA quick wins to optimization, generative AI copilots, and autonomous data agents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI development, including deploying models or algorithms into production.
• Programming and data analysis proficiency with Python and related libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience developing regression, classification, clustering, predictive analytics, and model validation solutions.
• Experience with agentic AI platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, and RPA tools such as UiPath or Power Automate.
• Ability to work with big data technologies, cloud-based data platforms, SQL, and cloud services for model deployment.
• Exceptional analytical, mathematical reasoning, statistical analysis, problem-solving, experimentation, and model interpretation skills.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts and end-to-end business constraints into actionable, scalable solutions and influence stakeholder adoption.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines, coordinate diverse cross-functional global teams using Agile practices, and maintain ownership of reliable deliverables.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as Operations Research or Machine Learning.
• Experience in supply chain, operations, planning systems, or master data management.
• Experience with optimization techniques or tools such as linear programming, constraint solving, Gurobi, or CPLEX.
• Knowledge of NLP, generative AI, large language models, and Natural Language Understanding.
