Senior Data Analyst (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; office-based. A work permit for Spain obtained before applying is mandatory.

What you will do

• Research, explore, and analyze data to support user acquisition, retention, monetization, and strategic decisions.
• Partner with game teams to analyze player behavior, answer business questions, and design and evaluate A/B tests.
• Build and maintain reliable, documented data models and pipelines using the modern data stack.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
• Apply machine learning to behavioral segmentation and monetization, and debug analysis, reporting, and tooling issues.
• Explore AI and Generative AI applications, including LLMs, AI agents, and copilots, to accelerate analysis and uncover player insights.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in similar positions, ideally in the mobile gaming industry.
• High proficiency in SQL and Python for data exploration and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, ideally Amazon Redshift, and data transformation tools such as dbt.
• Solid experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Comfort with version control using Git or GitLab in daily analytics workflows.
• Strong understanding of advanced statistics for analyzing skewed populations, plus experience in predictive analytics and segmentation.
• Experience communicating, visualizing, and reporting analytical results, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, and exposure to Generative AI or LLM analytics use cases.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, project management tools such as JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, code review, or other software engineering practices.
• Self-motivation, organizational skills, team spirit, proactivity, and an interest in mobile free-to-play games.
